Four Easy Steps to a Great Newborn Photography Session

1) Please try to keep the baby up for at least one hour before your session so baby is nice and sleepy. This is the single most important thing that you can do to insure the session is a success.

2) It is best if baby has a good full feeding during the time that I am setting up, please try to time feedings accordingly.

3) If you have a pacifier I can use to soothe baby for the props photos that would help out. If you are ok with a pacifier being used please have one available that does not have a stuffed animal attached to it as this will make it more difficult to pose your little one.

4) In order to get great photos it is important to have the room heated to 80 degrees. Your little one will not cooperate if he/she is cold and many of the shots are done with thin wraps and an almost naked baby.

Please note that if baby seems to dislike the almost naked shots or just seems to be extra fussy after a couple hours I will switch to an all wrapped session.  You will still get several different set-ups and I will have hands and feet out for some.
